Stay Down 02:46
This job feels a lot like a dead end. Then again, I've never been that good at anything, especially sitting still. It doesn't matter to you. It matters to me. I always take everything so personally. I believe anything that can happen will. I've got to get better at getting out from under what's been keeping me down. Every chance I get to pick myself up off the ground, there's a part of me that says 'Stay Down.'
2.
I saw you get away with everything they let you get away with. You said 'I'm not taking nothing. Want to make something of it?' I took a second look and you were gone. There was nothing there, like nothing ever was. I saw you try to hide all you could hide in plain sight. As if I didn't know, or wouldn't notice this time. There was nothing that I could do. There was nothing to be done. I'll find it really hard to miss you when there's nothing there, like nothing ever was.

In Between 03:07
I'm just getting started when she says we're already through. We both crossed the line, but can't remember who pushed who. We go back and forth and over everything. All of the ones we love are caught in between. But I know in time she'll come around to my way of thinking. I'm lovey dovey and she likes me like a friend. I'm waiting on a miracle, she's waiting on the weekend.
4.
You tell it like it is. Nothing is ever over. That's one more truth I won't admit to. Heating water for tea. The stove rings glow red. It feels good to get back into something out of habit. You keep holding on to all of the wrong things. Remember me better than I am, the way things used to be. Then again, on second thought, first you've got to figure out you. You always fall in love with everyone. Now you're leaning on my shoulder. It's not like you to cry, cross-armed on the porch staring out into the night. Maybe we just need a little more time.
